Tournament regulations:

Dress code

Qualifying rounds: The dress code is nice and tidy pants or jeans in one color, polo shirt or long sleeved shirt with collar. No untidy clothing is allowed.

Play offs: Dress code B.

The head referee reserves the right to decide on the clothing. Additionally, the organizers reserve the right to make exceptions on clothing based on the circumstances, e.g. sweater for cold pool hall, short smart pants for very hot weather etc. All the exceptions will be announced no later than 2 days prior to start of the matches.

Time out

In a group stage, time out can be taken only after half of possible racks played. For instance, if race is to 5, then there is a possibility of 9 racks to be played, that means that time out can be taken only after 4 racks. It can be 4-0, 3-1, 2-2. Only in these cases time out can be taken. Time out cannot be more than 5 minutes and no smoking and drinking alcohol during time out is allowed. Time out can be taken by any player.

Alcohol, smoking, snuff, chewing tobaco or any other drugs

It is not allowed to use any of these drugs during the match. It is not allowed to use alcohol during whole tournament day. As time out is part of the match it is not allowed to use any of these during time out.

Mobile phones, smart watches

It is not allowed to use mobile phones or smart watches during the matches, unless smart watch is on flight mode. If such a situation occurs, penalty is 1 rack to opponent.

Unsportsmanlike behavior

Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated and will be evaluated by the head referee and penalized accordingly to the WPA tournament regulations.

Protest against referee decision

There might be some situations where athlete will not agree with referees decision. In these circumstances protest can be given by an athlete in writing no later than 3 days since the situation happened and 100 Eur paid at the front desk as a protest analyze fee. If after investigation protest is valid to athlete side, fee is returned and valid actions to be taken. In case the athletes protest is not satisfied the 100 Eur fee will not be returned to the athlete.

Tournament page and setup system

Tournament will be running in www.cuescore.com and all tables for main event will have tablets for live scoring and result entering. Players will need to update their scores on the tablets and at the end FINISH the match by pressing the button.

Best youth player

Youth is considered to be U-18. Best youth player in main division will be awarded with free entry fee to the next stage.

Lottery

At every stage of the event there will be a lottery to win main sponsor prizes. There will be no additional money collection for that. Random draw during the day will be organized to promote sponsor prizes and give away.

Calcutta

Calcutta will be organized only from single knock out stages, when there will be known all 32 or 16 players in an open division.

Late cancellations

Participant has to pay an entry fee if on the day of the tournament or after draw they cancel their participation.

Description

Event played on 9tf tables. Pro players will give hcp. This event is a fun part for all BPL and not only, participants. Like a weekly tournament for all arrivers on Friday to BPL and locals who maybe not want to participate in big event but would love to have a big game with foreigner. Action starts at 18:00. All players are free to enjoy the evening as they wish.

Draw to single KO

2 best players will qualify from each group. 4 players per group. Unless there will be not enough participants to cover full chart of single KO, best 1st places will get a walk over in the first round of Single KO. In case 1st number will not get a walk over, match will be played. 1st places from the groups will be seeded by random draw, where 2nd places will be given in accordance not to play with the same player from the group.

Participation in multi events

Applicable for women and seniors only. If participation in multi events will result conflict in a game schedule, participant will need to choose the priority in which tournament shall he or she should proceed further.

In any amount of participants tournament officials has the right to decide what sporting system to apply, but of course there will be NO single elimination from the beginning and at least 2 matches will be played whatsoever.
